One hot summer night, while I and my sister were taking a walk, we noticed a tarpaulin ad for home-transcribers. The ad was targeting stay-at-home moms (SAHMs), work-at-home moms (WAHMs), and working mothers who want to earn additional income. I checked out their web site the first time I got home and applied for the job. Unfortunately, their application form wasn’t working well at that time so I had no choice but to email them and notify them about the glitch in their web site. I also expressed my intent to apply. Here’s how my application went:
I emailed them on the 22nd of March about my interest and I received a reply from them the following day, March 23. I replied back with the details they requested. On March 25, I received an email asking me to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement which I need to sign before I can finally take their transcription test. A couple of weeks after submitting my test, I received notification that I didn’t pass the exam. I didn’t even get to see the results of the exam so I wondered why I didn’t. Anyway, I am still sharing this opening for so mommies out there who are looking for full-time or part-time work can apply.

Hi! I would just like to ask what are the schedules for part time transcriptionist because I have a full time job in the morning.
thank you.
Hi Eric, the schedule would depend on CiviMom. When you apply, make sure that they know your schedule. FYI: I am not affiliated with CiviMom.
By the way, if you are looking for a part-time transcription gig, which you cn do on your own schedule, at a pace that you want, I suggest you try Scribie.
I REALLY liked your post and blog! It took me a minute bit to find your site…but I bookmarked it. Would you mind if I posted a link back to your post?

[...] Home-based Transcribers Wanted! [...]
This sounds like a dogsbody kind of job. I listened to a test piece that seemed to be a training presentation to a bunch of deadbeat call center staff. The sound was so bad it might just as well have been recorded in the subway. As you might guess, the pay was lousy. I say, forget it – become a banker, a politician, push drugs or whatever. Just forget transcription.
I do agree Hannibal. The audio quality is not great but this is a start for many virtual assistants or moms who would like to earn a living from home.
